Bills have been introduced into tho Legislature ot Ontario and British Columbiia requiring manufacturers of patent medicines to apeeil.v the ingredients, and especially the alcoholic strength. Earl Grey, Governor-General of Canada, in an address delivered at the M'Gill University, at Montreal, stated that one advertised medicine contained 40}£ per cent of alcohol.
