PATENT MEDICINE LEGISLATION.
Received February 16, 8.35 a.m. OTTAWA, February 15. Bills have been introduced into tho Legislature ot Ontario and British Columbiia requiring manufacturers of patent medicines to apeeil.v the ingredients, and especially the alcoholic strength. Earl Grey, Governor-General of Canada, in an address delivered at the M'Gill University, at Montreal, stated that one advertised medicine contained 40}£ per cent of alcohol.
