MONTHLY MEETING. *"* The monthly meeting of th© Masterton Trust Lands Trastses was held, last evening. Tbe members present were—Messrs O. E. Daniell (chairman), T. Wagg, and T. B. Miobell, The Treasurer reported is follows: Dr .balance, as per bank book. £447 3a sd; cr. balance on deposit at the bank, £798 0s sd. amounting to £24 10s 6d were passed for payment. The Y.M.C.A. wrote stating that were prepared to let oertain of 1 "their rooms for meeting purposes, and forwarded the scale of charges. The letter wbb received. J. Hipkinß wrote asking for the consent of the Trustees to the assignment of bis lease to Mr J. W. Cochrane, who had purchased the ■writer's business. The request was granted. A letter from the Executive Committee of the Hospital Floral fete forwarding a subscription list, was left in the hands of the Secretary to endeavour to obtain subscriptions. A letter was received from T. Morrison, asking the Trustees to allow ■ bis daughter another -year's grant, abe being still in the University. The Trustees granted the request. W. B. Chennells reported that he had sold the lease of Town Acre 111. to the Trustees of W. Carey's estate, at the upset price of £56 2s per annum. * The Chairman of the Distriot High School Committee (Mr R. Brown) wrote suggesting the formation of a committee to work in conjunction ' with the committees from other looal bodieß to further the movement to form agricultural education classes in Masterton. Messrs Daniell and Wagg'were appointed a committee " tb carry- out- the work- suggested. , Th,e Building Committee reported -' that the tender of W.Lett (£174) for tbe reinstatement of a shop, the property of the Trust, at Kuripuni, ' . bad been accepted. Tbe meeting then closed.
