WANGANUi, February 15. Messrs Freeman Li. Jackson and Co, began their annual ram fair today, 1,423 rams were catalogued, and 750 were sold si ugly. Tho bal auce will be offered to-morrow. There was spirited competition throughout andpxcellent prices were obtained. Mr Wybourne's stud Liuculns averaged £22 18s lid, the highest price being 45 guineas. Mr Perry's averaged £26 Is 6d, Mr Ray nor's £2B 17s 6d : Mr J. B. Sutton's £ll 2s 6d. others £6 to llmis. Lincola'flocli: rams aveiaged from 3gis to lOgua, Mr Wybourne's sheep reachins the lutter figure. The Romueys averaged from 4>.<gua to sgus. Kuglish Leicesters sold well, Mr Threlkeld averaging £5 ss. Southdowus, £5 53.
