WAIRARAPA POULTRY ASSOCIATION.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Waira•:xapa Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Association was held, last evening, in the Fire Police Station. Mr A. Snodgrass occupied the obair, and there were about ten members present. ■ The balance-sheet showed that the receipts had been £166 17s, expenditure £169 3s Id, leaving a debit balance of £3 10s 9d. Cash in hand reduced this amount to £2 6s Id. The assets showed an inorease of £32 16s 2d over the liabilities. The balanoe-sheet was adopted, on the motion of Mr E. Welch, seconded by Mr L. Riohards. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: Patron, Mr P. L. Hollings; President, Mr J. A. Renall. All the former Vice-Presidents were reelected with the addition of Mr A. C. Sorimgeour. Committee all reelected, with the addition of Messrs O. Saxon, O. fl. Henderson, J. Maxwell and A. O. Levien.. Treasurer, Mr G. Hyde. Mr Easthope declined to accept the position of Secretary unless the present remuneration wag raised - and two weeks allowed between the closing of entries and show day in order to paie and revise the catalogue. The meeting deciiled that the Association <jould not afford a higher payment lor secretarial services, and entries moat be kept open until the latest possible time. Mr L. Riohards was elected secretary pro tem. A vote of thanks was accorded to the retiring secretary. The resignation of Mr A. Henderson was accepted. A vote of thanks was accorded to the Fire Police for the use of the room, and the meeting then terminated.
