MESSRS HENDRy AND BUXTON.

To-day, Messrs Hendry and Buxton, a new firm of drapers, clotbiers nnd milliners, will commence business in Masterton. Their business premises are in the block of brick buildings recently ereoted »n Lower Queen Street, opposite Worksop Road. The brisk condition of trade at the present time, combined with the rapid growth of both town and country,, should ensure for the firm a fair share of publio patronage. The partners are practical men who thoroughly uuderstand their business, and they are determined to spare no efforts to make a success of every department. The establishment is replete with neavy and comprehensive stocks in each of the departments, which comprise drapery, clothing, Manchester and dress, mantle and showroom. The windows have been attractively set out with goods, specially selected for autumu trade, and they should command attention. The drapery and clothing department is replete with the best of stocks from colonial and Home manufacturers,while the best makers are represented in the Manchester and dress departments. Special attention has been paid to the showroom and it has been fitted up in a manner that shows the firm know how to cater for the requirements of the public in this particular line. Millinery will, also, be an important feature or tbe business, and this department will be in charge of a competent milliner who has had experience in leading houses in Christchurch. Special show cases have been fitted up for tha display of linos in tbe glove.and nbboa department, the stock of whicn i 3 varied and up-to-date. The lighting arrangements are most complete, both for the windows and the interior of tbe shop. The firm have spared no expeuse in their new undertaking, and their enterprise will no doubt meet with encouraging support.
