Mr John Mollvride, a very old settler of the Lower Hutt, and well known in Masterton, died on Saturday. Unemployed are still being registered «t the Launoeston (Tasmania) Labour Bureau, and free railway passes have been granted to those taking up work in. the country. The timber exported from Hokitika last year amounted to 1,500,000 ft. From Greymouth 29,500,000 ft were exported during the same period.
