ATTEMPTED ESCAPE OF A PRISONER.
NAPIER, February 12. A prisoner, named Thos. Williams, undergoing a sentence of live years' imprisonment, for indecent assault, got away from the gang, fthen working next to the Drill Shed. He waß quickly missed, and the polica were telephoned for with the result that the man was captured hiding inside the Drill Shea, within 40 minutes from the time his escape was known.
