WELCOME TO NEW ZEALAND TEAM. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, February 9. The New Zealand Rugby Union have decided to extend an official welcome to the touring footballers on the day after their arrival in Auckland. Tho details are being left to the Auckland Union to arrange. In tho evening au invitation banquet will be held, at which the team will be guests. Local members of Parliament and civic bodies and representatives of all the amateur sporting bodies in the colony are to be invited. The cost of the banquet is to be borno by the New Zealand Rugby Union, Owing to his arrangements in the South, His Excellency the Governor regrets that be is unable to visit Auckland to welcome the team. Tho Premier aid tho Leador of the Opposition have beeu invited.
