UNDESIRABLES OBJECTED TO. Received February 7, 30.57 p.m. OTTAW/i, February 7. The citizens of Toronto are memorialising the Governor to enact legislation ensuring care in the seleotion of immigrants and giving preference to adults, capable of maintaining themselves. Attention was drawn to the dangor of undesirables from the poor of London and elsewhere, through the Salvation Army or Rothschild's scheme. Russian and Polish refugees were pronounced as as objectionable and unsuitable.
