A COMMISSION OP ENQUIRY.

WELLINGTON, February 6. It is understood that the Government is in communication with the Chief Justice with a view to obtaining the services of two Judges of the Supreme Court to sit as a commission to enquire into the claims of J. J. MeikJe for redress of grievances. It is anticipated that the commission will be set ud at an early date.
