STRATFORD RACING CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING. A racing fixture that is always looked forward to with keen interest botb by borseowuers aad the public generally, ia that of the Stratford Racing Club, which takes place on the Stratford Racecourse, o;j March 14th and 15th next. Managed by an energetic body nf Stowarda, with the assistance of a most capable Secretary, the Club has gone ahead in a manner that is very creditable. The total stakes for the two days spread over 16 races, amount to 1015 sovereigns, 540 of which are allotted to the first day, and 475 fcu the second. Four of the events are open, the balance being devoted to the hack division. Tho chief attraction on the first day will bo the Stratford Cup Handicap, of 150 sovs, and on the following day the St. Patrick's Haudicao, of 110 sovs. A point of interest to owuers aad trainers is that the Club will refund the steamers cr railway freight one way, on all nurses competing at the mpetiug. The nominations close on Saturday, February 24th, at 9 p.m. An advertisement appears in another column, to which attention is drawn.
