The Norwegian steamer Albnla, of 1822 tons, has been lost at Kelibia, on the Tunisian coast. member of the crew was saved. Mangotoroto and Maugawhara estates (Auckland) have recently been acquired from the Assets Board by the Government at £3 12s Gd and £3 10s per acre respectively. The estatesadjoin Matamata and contain about 3,500 acres While Stratford was deserted in consequence of the seaside excursion, on Thursday, three residences were broken into. From S. G. Pot tor's store and dwelling £8 in cash was stolen, and ht K. Ziuali's residence a small sum of money and a consideable amount; of jewelley waa taken.
