The President of the Equitable Life Insurance Co., at New York, has announced that the Society has ceased to accept new business from Australia and ether unprofitable quarters in the world. DEOISIOJN APPLIES TO NEW | ZEALAND. WELLINGTON, February 2. The decision of the Equitable Life not to accept new business in Australia referred to in to-night's cables, applies to New Zealand.
