METEROLOGICAL.

Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the registered rainfall at the Upper Plain for the 24 hours up till 9 a.m. on Wednesday was 5 points. Rain fell., on 12 days in January. The highest rainfall was 53 points on January 6th, and the lowest 2 pointslon January 29th. The total rainfall for the month was 2.05 inches against 1.77 inches for the corresponding month last year, and 1.66 in January, 1904. Mr S. Mawley reports that the rainfall at Ditton during January was 2.69 inches, the maximum be ing 93 points on January 6th. The average for January for the past 25 years is 3.40 inches. SUN*.
