The following competitions were decided, to-duy, at the Baud Contest:—

Quartet to. Westporfc, SO, 1; Granity, 79, 2; Hokitika Voluutoer, 78, 3. Greyiuoutb 77, Masterton 70)' a, Nelson Garrison 76, Temnka 76, Hokitika Gitize:i3 75. Feiiding 74, Groy Catholic 73, Deuniston 72, also, competed. Soprano Cornet.—-A. McMaster, Westporfc City Band, 47, 1 ; L. Neighbours, G'-auitv, 46, 2; B. Simpson. Masterton, 44, 3. G. Haybittle, Feiiding, 42, also, competed.

(The solos, to day, will bo commenced with the Tenor Horn competition. There are 13 entries, Masterton being represented by Bandsman W. Norman. Thore are lb' entries in the B-flat Cornet; Masterton are unrepresented. Bandmaster A. Russell will lepreseut Mastevtou in tbe Euphonium solo, for which there are sevon entries).
