DEATH OF AN OLD COLONIST.
NELSON, January 29.
Mr John Ford, an old settler, of Waimea West, was found dead in one of his paddocks this evening. He had evidently broken a blood vessel. Deceased, who was 74 yeura of age, arrived in Nelson in 1842.
