LAWN TENNIS.
Tbe club tournaments in counection with the Maatertou Tennia Olab will be commenued as from Saturday next, February 3rd. Tbe first of tbe competitions will be the Men's Handicap Singles, and it is the intention of the handicapping committee to afford all tbe playing members of tbe Club an opportunity of taking part in this competition, and in order to best secure this end the players will be handicapped and tbe drawings made on Friday, February 2nd. In tbe meantime those members desirous of entering for th« Handicap Doubles are requested to secure their partners and forward the names to tbe secretary at an early date. Mr H. A. Parker, who took a leading part in the recent tournament, has intimated to tbe secretary his intention of donating thiough Messrs Slazengers and Sons, a trophy to the winner of tbe Men's Championship Singles, at the next annual open championship meeting, held under the auspices of the Masterton Lawn Tennis Club. — L ■ ■-I
