Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., reDorfc:—On Thursday we held bur fortnightly sale at the Alfredton yards, when there was a good entry of cattle, bat only one line of sheep. All were sold, excepting two lines of oattle. At Eketabana, on Friday, we had a large yarding of both sheep and oattle. There was a large at - tendance of buyers, and although bidding for some lines lacked spirit only two lots of sheep and oattle were passed in. Prices obtained at these sales were:—Two-tooth ewes and wethers 12s 6d, 2-tooth wethers 12s Bd, shorn rape lamba (including few stores) 8s 4d, others 7s 9d, store ewes 8s 7d, 2 and 2%-year steer 59s 6d to 72s 6d 2-year steers 46s 6d, 18-muntbs steers 36s 6d to 455, yearling heifers 80s 6d, weaner calves 18s, small calves 5s to 8s 6d, hacks £5 to £8 10s, yearling steers to 335, 3-year heifers in calf 545, 18months and 2-year heifers 46s to 48b. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Ageuoy Co., Ltd., report:— At. their Eketahuna sale, yesterday, sheep were represented by fat ewes, these selling under the hammer at 12s. In cattle we had a full yarding. Sales by auction were somewhat irregular, however, we managed to make a clearance with une exception. Two and a-haif to 3-year steers making 65s to 80s, 18-months dairy heifers 34s to 455, yearlings 124s to 395, good calves 20s, poor yearlings 20s to 245, aged oows 2Ue, weaner pigs 10s 6d.
