COAL SEAMS AT NELSON.

A REPORT ASKED FOR, " NELSON, January 25. The Nelson Chamber of Commerce received, to-day, damolea of coal obtained alongside the main road, about 70 miles from tho town, and within 20 miles off the present railway construction. One seam is four feet and another fifteen feet. The Chamber previously obtained good coal from 80 miles and beyond that on the Bulier Eoad. It was resolved to ask authority for the Government Geologist to make an exhaustive report.
