PROGRAMME OF THE M.O.C. TEAM'S TOUR. The New Zealand Criokefc Council has just issued tbe programme of matobes arranged for tbe coming tour of the Melbourne Crioket Club's team through New Zealand. The team will consist of W. W. Armstrong, A. A. Aitken. (manager), H. Fry, G. Hazlitt, G. Henty, M. Irwin, P. J. Jennings, C. Laver, C. MoLeod, D. Mailer, V. Ransford and F. Vaugbau. The visitors are to leave Sydney for Auckland by the Manuka on fcho 31st inst., and after a visit to tbe thermal district at Rotorua, will play the first match, against Auckland, on the 9th, 10th, and 12th February. Wanganui is to be played on the 14th and 15th, tho Manawatu district, at Palmeratou, on the 17th and 19th, and the team arriveß at Wellington on the 21st. The Wellington match will be played on the 23rd, 24th, and 26th February, and on the 2nd, 3rd, and slh March'the Canterbury team will be played. Then the tqam goes down to Southland, playing its sixth contest at lnvercargill on tbe 7th and Bth. A week will be spent in the Lake Wakatipu district betore the Otago match is played, on tho 16th. 17th, and 19th March; the South Canterbury team will oe met at Timara on the 21st and 22nd, and the final game of the tour, agaiuat New Zealand, will be played at Christchurch on the 23rd, 2itb and 26th March. The team is to leave for home by the Monowai on the 30th March. ALLEGED UNFAIRNESS. By Telegraph—Press Association. CHKISTCHUROH, Jan. 23. At the meeting of the New Zealand Cricket Council, to-night, the Committee appointed to inquire into the alleged watering of the wicket during the Otago-Oanterbury match, reported that, after hearing the evidence, they had unanimously come to the conclusion that the wicket had not been watered or tampered with in any way whatever. The umpires for tbe match state that they are completely satisfied that the rolling of tbe wicket, after the rain, which fell during the morning, was quite sufficient to account for the damp appearance thereof. The report was adopted.
