TINUI.
(From Our Own Correspondent). TINUI, January 17. The friends of the Rev. J. 0. Andrew will regret to hear that he is suffering from a serious illness. The annual School Fete will be held on the 25th inst, in a paddook kindly lent by Mr JR. L. Langdon, and no doubt will as usual bo a pleasant day's outing. Some amusing scenes are witnessed at polo practice, ponies prefer bucking to chasing the ball, and therefore the practise resembles a circus more than polo playing. Matters in oounection with the Motiiroa petroleum bore are much about the same as previously reported. It is expected that pumping will bo resumed in two or three weeks' time. The indications fire entirely favourable, and if the manager is in shutting off the water the yield of oil should be materially iucreased.
