A GRUESOME DISCOVERY.
WELLINGTON, Jan. 18. While walking m the Botanical Gardens to-day two citizens found the body of Alfred Cooper, an aerated water maker, of Wellington. Death must have taken place three months ago. The head was detached from the trunk and the hands from the arm. Practically the body was in pieces. A bottle, containing liquid, was found near the body. Deceased was 55 years of age.
