A firm of grocers in Otago writes to the editor of the •'Dairyman" on the subject of selling eggs by weight: We would like to see you advocating in the columns of your journal a more equitable method of purchasing eggs than the present way, viz., by the dozen, as egga vary so muoh in size. As an instance, we weighed one dozen from one lot sent in to us, the weight being 18ozs; from another lot we weighed a dozen, which turned the s?ale at 29oze. These facts speak for themselves, and we would like to see the matter receiving the consideration it deserves.
