HAWKES' BAY v. AUCKLAND. By Telegraph—Press Association. JSAPIEK, January 17. The match between Auckland and Hawke's Bay was started to-day in beautiful weather. The hoaie team batted first, and made 216—Hall 93, Oato 56. Auckland have lost one wicket for 91—Lusk 38, Hemua (not out) 52. Hawke's Bay had lost six wjokets for 114, but the 'tail' proved to be better than was expected. The wickets fell to Stemson, N eill and Brook-Smitb.
