Some of the Makairo settlers are beginning to wonder when the Uovernment is going to commence the formation of the Waiuu'a Road in that distriofc (saya the Pahiatua Herald). They were promised before the general eleotion that the work would be put in hand immediately but up to the present nothing has been done in the matter, and the settlers interested are coming to the conclusion that it was only an electioneering promise, and, of course, is easily broken.
