SUICIDE.

NEW PLYMOUTH, Jan, 15. William Bennett, aged 72, suicided by hanging himself in the Foresters' Hall this afternoon. He bad been ajresident of New Plymouth for forty-bix yeras, and was an old soldier. He was employed in the Deeds Office until three years ago when he retired. He had heen in indifferent health for some time. Deceased who leaves a widow and a large grown-up family, was for thirty six years Secretary of the Eginont Oddfellows' Lodge.
