THE FROZEN MEAT TRADE.
WEDDEL'S REPORT. IHE TENDENCY 10 BIG SHEEP LOWER PRICES FORECASTED. Received January 12, 11.20 p.m. LONDON, January 12, Weddel's Annual Review of the Meat Trade refers to the tendency throughout the world to breed large sheep, though consumers greatly prefer young and meaty carcases under 561bs. Under present conditions it is unsafe to assume that prices in 1906 will equal those of 1905 for colonial consignments. The general consensus of opinion is that prices will range lower. All the produoing countries have placed a higher value on live stock than this market can support.
