STOCK REPOKT. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd, report on their opening sale at Masterton as follows:—We had a large yarding in both sheep and cattle. The entry of Bheep consisted ohiefly of lambs of which about 3000 were penned. Competition for all lambs fit for rape was good and a total clearance of this class was effected at full rates. ; About 800 head of cattle of all classes were yarded. Bidding at auction was irregular. We, however, quitted the bulk of the entry before the close of the day. We quote:—Sheep—Fat ewes 12s, fat lambs 10s to lis 4d, best rape black-face lambs 9s lid, white face woolly 18s 4d to 9s Cd 7s lid to 8s 3d, cull owes and lambs ail counted 4s 6d. Cattle — Fat bullocks £0 to £6 14s, fat cows £i 5s to £5, forward bullocks £5 4e, store bullocks £4 10s to £5, 2-year steers £2 15s to £3 12s (id, 18-months steers £2 3s 6d to £2 12a 6d, yearling steers 30s to £2 3s, station-bred empty cows and heifers £3 17s, store cows £3 Is to £3 4s, 8-montbs hei fers £2 8s to £3, Shurthoru bulls £5 10s to £l6.
