CHANCES OP RE-FLOATING. AUCKLAND, January 9. The Kapanui is now well up on the beach, aud a patch will bo placed over the hole made by the collision, aud the steamer is expected to be ready to go ou the slips to morrow. In searching the cabm a jawbone of a full-grown man was discovered, together with eight teeth. It is presumed .that the man was killed by the impact, as the remains were found just under where the rent was made by the Claymore. A great deal of money has been i found in the cabin, amounting to ' over £4OO. Tho majority belongs to the si ip, and the balance to the passengeid.
