KNIGHT-JEFFRIES COMPANY.
Play-goers will be delighted to hear that Miss Maud Jeffries and Mr Julius Knight will appear in Masterton on jMouday, January 15. The great spectacular and historical Napoleonic drama, "A Royal Divorce," will be staged, Mr Knighc appearing in his famous pourtrayai of Napoleon, "the man of destiny," and Miss Jeffries aa the Empress Josephine. A special feature iu connection with this rroduetioo will he that the large scenery, precisely as used in the principal cities, will be utiiaed bore. Previously it has bean the custom for all companies to use small sets in towns outside the four centres in Now Zealand, but Mr Williamson finds that the stage here is just about extensive enough to enable the original scenery to be utilised. The plans will open at Hollings' on Wednesday, January 10, and in order that there may be no favouritism in tne booking, Mr Royle, representing Mr J. C. Williamson, wishes it to be understood that no' seats can be marked off prior to then.
