Capstick, Dtthjb, AX© Co. report having sold, during the week ending Saturday, the 20th February, at the sale held at Wairuna, on account of the trustees in the estate of the late Mr. Thomas Spence, on Tuesday, 16th February — Cattle. — Dairy cows, £3 t<^£4 j store bullocke, £4 5s ; yearlings, £1 2s to £1 12s each. Horses.— Yearling colts by Marquis, £11 10s ; two year-old filly, £17 10s ; bay colt, £17 ; gelding by Morris Dancer, £27 5 aged gelding, £22 j four-year-old gelding, £47 5 brood mare, aged, £98, respectively, Sheep. — Old merino ewes, 2s 6d to 4s 3d each; 97 cross-bred lambs, 7s; 2 Jam. lambs, 17s j 7 ewe lambs; 13s 6d ; 4-tooth rams, 19s each.

Fat Cattle. — 140 head were yarded. We Sold, on account of Messrs. Shand,' Gall, Wallace, and others, 96 head. Bullocks brought from £7 2s 6d to £11 17s 6d ; cows, from £6 10s to £9 5s — prices equal to 25s per lOOlbs for good quality, and 22s for medium ditto. Fat Calves. — 16 were yarded, which we sold at from 25s to 60s each. Fat Sheep. — 550 were penned, which being inadequate to the demand, prices were a little firmer. We sold 100 cross-breds, prime quality and heavyweights, at 16s 9d ; and 100 merino wethers, medium quality, at Bs. We quote prime half-breds 2jdper lb ; merino do, 2sd. Fat Lambs. — 200 were penned. We sold 60 at from 8s to 11s each. Store Cattle. — We have enquiries for grown cattle, but few are offering. Our sales include 120 bead young cattle, 18 to 24 months old, at 50s each. We quote bullocks four to five years old, £5 10s to £6 ; spayed cows, £4 to £4 ss ; mixed lots, £'3. Store Sheep. — Young merinos and crossbrede are in good demand. We quote crossbreds, 4-tooth, 12s ; 2-tooth, 9s 6d to 10s 6U; lambs. 7s 6d to 8s ; merino wethers full- 1 mouthed, 5s 6d to 6s ;-2, 4, and 6-tooth, 7s to 7s 6d j merino ewes, 2 and 4-toofch, 8s to 9s ; full-mouthed, 3s 6d to ss, according to quality: At above rates we have sold during the week; 13,000, and have several large transactions pending. Horses. — Our market has fos some time been bare of imported draught stock, for which there is a fair demand. At our yards, on Saturday, we sold thjee drafts of light provincial-bred colts, at freSn £9 10s to £33 per head. We shall offer at our yards on Saturday, 27th February, 45 very superior heavy draught marcs and geldings, ex Omeo from Melbourne. We quote first-class draughts, £65 to £75 ; medium do, £45 to; £55 ; light do, £25 to £30 : good hacks and! light harness horses, £25 to £35.; medium. £14. Rr^wyiigiitrfitfff rnTem~r7"£^o"~£B. Sheepskins. — At our weekly sale, on Wednesday, we disposed of about 1800 skins as follows : — Full-wooled skins, merino, 4s 6cl to 5s 2d ; pelts, 9d to 21d ; lambskins, 2s 2d. Grain.— Wheat— Very little of the new crop has yet come forward. Prime samples are worth 5s per bushel. Oats. — Owing to heavy arrivals, the market is scarcely so firm. "We quote old, 3s 6cl to 4s per bushel ; new, 3s to 3s 3d. Barley. -Prime malting is worth 5s to 5s 3d per bushel.
