Eather Coleman brings an action against the "Times" for correspondence re collections at St Joseph's. At the Heads: City of Dunedin, from London. Newton, the Maori, was executed to-day. An improved form ot gallows was used, which prevented any hitch. He died without a struggle, protesting his innocence to the last.
