Mr. Aitken intends going largely into this business, not only in Lawrence, but throughout the country districts of Tapanui, Teviot, Waitahuna, Waipori, and surrounding neighbourhood. For this purpose he has secured the services of a first-class cutter, and several good practical- workmen. We were also shown a sewing machine on a large scale, which executes its work with great precision and rapidity, without in any way injuring the material or fracturing the silk or thread used in the manufacture. For the purpose of meeting the tastes of all comers Mr. Aitken has in stock a splendid variety of home and colonial made tweeds, of which reference to his advertisements will give full particulars. — Tuapeka Times.
