STOCK REPORT.

Messrs. Weight Stevenson and Co, report for the week ending 6th February, as follows : — Fat Cattle.— l2o head were yarded, of .which the. greater part were good quality. We sold 62 head at from £8 to £10 10s for bullocks, and £6 17s 6d to £9 for cows j prices equal to 25s per lOOlbs for good quality, and 21s for medium do. Privately we sold 80 head at equal to 25s pei 1001 b. Fat Calves. — Only a few came forward, which sold at from 25s to 39s each. Fat Sheep. — 1300 were penned. Cross<breds brought from 14s to 15s ; merinos, 8* to 10s. We quote prime half-breds, 2fd par lb ; do merino, 2£. Privately we sold 600 at these rates. Fat Lambs. — 250 were penned, and sold at from 7s 6d to 10s. Store Cattle. — No transactions. Store Sheep. — We have numerous enquiries for young Bheep, especially merinoes, . but none of the latter description are offering. Our sales consist of 2600 merino ewes, mixed ages, and 700 cross-bred lambs, at quotations; also 200 Leicester rams, at from £3 10s to £5 ss. We quote merino ewes, 2 and 4- tooth, 8s to 9s ; do wethers, 6s Gd to 7s ; fullmouthed merino ewes, 4s to ss ; do wethers, 5s 6d to 69 ; cross-breds, 4-toofch 10s to lls ; do, 2-tooth, 9s to 10s-; ditto, lambs, 7s 6d. Country Sales. — On Monday, Ist instant, at Grange Farm, East Taieri, we sold at auction, on account of Alex. M'Gregor, Esq., his growing crops of wheat at from £5 to £ft 15s per acre. On Friday, sth instant, we held a sale by auction at Hillgrove, Moeraki, on account of Joseph Cutling, Esq. There was a fair attendance, and prices obtained were satisfactory, Merino ewes in good condition 'brought 5s 6d ; fat merino wethers, 8s 9d ; fat half-breds, 14s ; Leicester ewes, 2 and 4-tooth, 45s to 47s 6d ; do, full-mouthed, 32s 6d ; draught colts, 1 and 2-years old, £21 to £34 : light colts, £10 t0,£12 10s.

Horses. — The demand for good draught and light harness horses is still active, At our yards on Saturday we sold a draught of light provincial bred colts at from £16 to £31. ' We quote first-class draughts £65 to £75 ; medium do, £45 to £55 ; light do, £25 to £35 ; medium do, £16 to £20 ; light and inferior, £6 to £9.

Wool.— We shall hold our next public saleon Thursday, 11th instant. Sheepskins. — At our weekly sale we offered a quantity of station skins, which sold at follows : — Half-breds, 5s 4d to 5s 8d; merinos, 5s 5d ; lambs, Is lOd to 2b ; pelts, 9d to Is 4d.

Hides continue in good demand at from 4£d to 4£d per lb for well-conditioned lots. We sold this week 90 light and medium weights at from 15s to 21s 6d each.

Grain. — The demand for wheat is slight. We quote prime milling samples at from 6s 4d to 5a 6d ; inferior, 4s 9d to 5s per bushel ; fowls' feed, 4s per bushel. Oats are in full supply, and difficult to quit, prices ruling in favour of buyers. We quote prime nulling 4e 3d, and feed 4s per bushel. Barley is in fair request. Good samples of malting are saleat from 5s to 5s 6d per bushel.
