Young Wellington is a bright dapple bay, rising three years old ; stands sixteen hands high, and. is possessed of great bone and fine symniefSry. ' Young Wellington is by Sir William Wallace, the celebrated horse that achieved such marked success at the stud on the Taieri Plain. Sir William Wallace was got by Garabaldi, out of Brisk, bred by W. Anderson, Esq., Barniel, Kirkmichael, Ayrshire. Garabaldi's sire was bred by Peter Anderson, Esq., Gillespie, Glenluce, Ayrshire, and gained first prize at the Carrick Society's Show as o, year old, and first prize four times in succession aJjpthe Ayr County Show, besides a number of first prizes at local shows. Brisk, Sir William Wallace's dam, br^d by W. Anderson, Esq., Barniel, Kirkmichael, Ayrshire, gained first prize at Ayr County Show, and nine first prizes at local shows. Sir William Wallace gained first prize as a foal at Maybole ; tilso, as a yearling, gained the first prize at Dalrymple, Kirkmichael, Maybole, Glasgow, and second at Ayr. He gained first prize as a two-year-old at Ayr County Show and at Glasgow ; also, the second prize at the Highland Society's Show held in Edinburgh, July, 1869. Sir William Wallace, imported by Mr. Thomas Kettle direct from the breeder, W. Anderson, Esq., Barneil, Kirkmichael, Ayrshire, was shown at the Taieri Show in December, 1869, when only threeSfdays> landed, and gained second prizo against horses of all ages. Young Wellington's dam is a prize mare belonging to Mr. Cullen, of the Taieri. She has gained three first prizes at the Annual 6how held at the Taieri. Her dam was half sister to Bla-kleg, said to be the best horse that ever crossed tho line. A splendid grass paddock is provided for mares from a distance, and all eate taken, but no responsibility.^ .^The proprietor's previous experience of entire horses will be a sufficient guarantee that mares will receive every attention.
