Duthie &Co. report ' having sold during the week ending Monday, December 21 : — Horses. — We yarded on Thursday r ,17th inst., 40 young colts and fillies, and sold 84 head, averaging £15 per head. ___ Ouis_private._sales during the week have been~ very meagre Felng confined to 228 merino ewes -in wool, each ewe having a lamb at foot, price 12s 6d each. • We attribute the limited operations to the continued dry weather, shortness of grass, and sheepowners being in the midst of shearing.
