Dunediit, November 24bh. The Tararna, from Melbourne, via northern ports arrived to-day. The motion affirming the desirability of the gaa works haing purchased by the Corporation, come 3on for discussion at to-morrow's meeting of the City Council. Nov. 25th, 9 45 a.m. A meeting of gentlemen who subscribed shares in the Bendigo Deep Lead Quartz Mining Co., was held in Dunedin yesterday. The directors at Cromwell refused to allot the shares subscribed for Dunedin, and allotted the whole to themselves. It was unanimously resolved yesterday, that the directors be informed that the Dunedin shareholders insist upon their right to the Bhare3, and will take the necessary legal steps to enforce their claim. Mr. Logan of Bendigo has collected £130, in Dunedin, for the Cromwell hospital, _____________
