Mr. W. Doggett, of Kyneton, made two ttempts to drown himself a few days since. He scrambled out on each occasion, and having mentioned the matter, was arrested on the charge of attempting to commit suicide. After the failure of the first attempt lie left jthe following note on the bank of the river ; — " I intended to drown myself. Water too cold up to shoulders. Will try again. Good
