Fat Cattle. — A fair supply, consisting of j 175 head, were yarded at the Kaikorai to-day, all of which were sold at prices fully equal to our late quotations for best quality. A portion, however, were iuferior, and could only be disposed' of at 'prices little better than., store rates. Best bullocks brought from £12 to £18 15s each ; second qualii-y, from £7 }0s to £10. ' Best -bows',- from £8- to £12 10s; second quality, 'from £6 to £8. We quote prime beef" as worth fro'ni 42s 6c\ to 45s per 1001 b. Fat i §heiep.- r ;1,50p. were pepped, o f which, however, only about 800 were^sold by auction, at prices ranging from 24s 3d to 28s 6d for cross-breds, aritVfrom 13s to 20s f or merinoes. The trade were quite prepared to tako thewhole, but not at the extreme prices lately ruling. We quote — Prime cross-bretls. about 5d per- lb ; merinoes, 4£d to -4£dr At the ykrds ,-we sold 300 merinoes and cross-bre.ds, and have placed 500 privately at quotations. Fat Lambs. — Only about 45 were penned, which," benig of very primo quality, we sold at 15." 9d each. . Store Cattle. — We have to report a continued demand for fair-conditioned bullocks 'and spayed cows — iho former at from £5 to £6 efcck"; the latter at from £3 15* f.o £i 10s. Quotations' are unchanged. - Oats are exceedingly scarce, and command extreme sates, prime quality being worth. 5s sd ; ordinary feed 5s 3d.
