Clydesdale _!_tiro Horses. TO TRAVEL THIS SEASON IN THE MOUNT BENGER DISTRICT, YOUNG- WELLINGTON. Yottkg Wellington is a bright dapple bay, rising three years old ; stands sixteen hands high, and is possessed of great bono and fine symmetry. Young Wellington is by Sir William Wallace, tho celebrated horse that achieved such marked success at the stud on the Taieri Plain. Sir William Wallace was got by Garabaldi, out of Brisk, bred by W. Anderson, Esq., Baruiel, Xirkmichael, Ayrshire. Garabaldi's sire was bred by Peter Anderson, Esq., Gillespie, Glenluce, Ayrshire, and gained first prize at the Carrick Society's Saow as a year old, and firefc prize four times in succession at tho Ayr County Show, besides a number of first prizes at local shows. Brisk, Sir William Wallace's dam, bred by W. Anderson, Esq., Barniel, Xirkmichael, Ayrshire, gained first prize- at Ayr County Show, and nine first prizes at local shows. Sir William Wallace gained first prize as a foal at M. aybole ; also, as a yearling, gained the first pi'izo at Dalrymple, Xirkraichael, Maybole, Glasgow, and" second at Ayr. He gained first prize as a two-year-old at Ayr County Show and nt Glasgow ; also, the second prize at tho Highland Society's Show held in Edinburgh, July, ISG9. Sir William Wallace, imported by Mr. Thomas Kettle direct from the breed«r, W. Anderson, Esq., Barnoil, Kirkmichaol, Ayrshire, was shown at the Taieri Show in Decomber, 18G9, when only thrco days landed, and gained second prize against horses of all ages. Young Wellington's dam is a prize mare belonging to Mr. Cullen, of the Taieri. She has gained threo first prizes at the Annual show hold at tho Taieri. Her dam was half sißter to Blackleg, said to be tho best horse that ever crossed the line. A splendid grass paddock is provided for mares from a distance, and all caio taken, but no responsibility. His, siro is the well-known horse Tannahill, "whose stock has taken prizes every year for the last eight years at the Taieri and other shows. His dam, tho property of Mr. Millar, was imported by Mr. Nisbet from Tasmania. Young Tannaiiill is a first-class worker and a sure foal-getter. Young Otago, half-brother to Young Tannahill, was sold when three year 3 old for £200 to go to Oamarn ; and a brother was first at the Taieri show last year as the best gelding ; and a half-sister of his got tho silver cup at the last Dunedin show for the best yearling filly.
