Ivanhoe is a dark bay, standing over 17 hands high, bred by the Duke of Hamilton, and imported direct from Scotland by the New Zealand Land Company. His sire, Sir Walter Scott, gained the first prize at tho Highland Agricultural Society's Show at Duxnfries in ISGO, the first prize in Glasgow in 1801, and at the lioyal Agricultural Show, open to all Britain, heldatßatterseainlß62, he also took first honors. Hi? dam, Maggy, gained the first prize aa a three-year old at the Highland Society's "iShowiu 1862, aud at the same show in the same year gained tlie second prize in the cla c< 3 of all-aged mares, and the first prize as the bost bred mare at the same &bow in lSb'3. Ivanhoe has an excellent temper and magnififent action. He has shown himself a sure stock-getter, nearly all the inarca served last season having proved in foal. Tjbbms :— £lo 10s. ; Groomage, sa. Sib Colin is by the celebrated Sir Colin Campbell, imported direct to Tasmania. Sir Colin Campbell is by Gleuelg, bred by Mr. T«it, Banffshire, the winner of many ! prizes, aud the sire of 140 prize colts aud fillies. Grandsire, Lofty, who was never beaten, and took £244 in prizes. Dam, a pure Clydesdale msrc bred by the Earl of Seafield, out of his favorite mare Betsy, winner of numerous prizes. Sir'Colin's dam took first honors at Strath Bogie, and also at the Duke of Richmond's show, in the latter case with foal at foot, competing against all mares with or without foals, and was afterwards imported to Tasmania. Royal Chabteb is a rich mottled bay, standing over sixteen hands high, rising 4 years old, of great bone and substance, and most docile temper ; bred by the well-known breeder Robert Chartres, Esq., by the famous Clydesdale entire Emperor, the property of the late Mr. Nimrao. He is by fche well-known sire Thumper, the best horse ever travelled in Tasmania, who was never vanquished in the show ring, and was bred by E. Nobth Stab is rising four years old. Bred by John Symmons, E^q., of The Oaks, Tasmania. Sire, the imported hor?e Lincolnshire Hero, that never was beafen a? a prize taker. Nobth Stab's dam, Flower, winner of 20 prizes. Flower by Nugget ; Nugget by Champion, imported, out of Mr. J. Jordan's prize mare by imported Lincoln. Great | grand-dam, Flower. Lincoln and Flower were both imported by the late Dr. Willmore. Upwards of six year? ago Emperor, own brother to Nobth Stab, was brought over from Tasmania, and travelled the Tuapeta district one season. Horse breeders in that district, however, did not then know the value of his stock. He was then sent to Tasmania, where he travelled for four successive seaoons. This splendid horce was afterwards selected by a first-class judge to go to Canterbury, N.Z., where he now travels, and is thought as highly of as the best horses that have been imported to that province from Britain 5 thus showing that Nobth Stab's pedigree will bear a very favorable comparison with any horße travelling in Otago.
