Upwards of six years ago Emperor, own brother to Noutii Star, was brought over from Tasinauia, and travelled the Tuapeka district one season. Horso breeders in that district, however, did not then know the value of his stock. He was then sent to Tasmania, where ho travelled for four successive seasons. This splendid horse was afterwards selected bva first-class judge to go to Canterbury, N*S., where he now travels, and is thought as highly of as the best horses that have been ; imported to that province from Britain ; thus showing tbat North Star's pedigree will bear a very favorable comparison with any horse travelling in Otago.
