The ship Christian M'Ausland, from London, with 349 iinnrigr.mts on board, was signalled at the Heads on Wednesday morning, and at 10.30 a in. the p.s. Samson went out to tow her up, but as the wind from the S. W. was very strong she could not do so. Feom advertisement it will be seen that tenders are called for the erection of a stone building for the Bank of New Zealand, Roxburgh. The Beaumont spring meeting, which was to have been held yesterday, is postponed until Friday next, the 9th inst., when it is to be hoped the weather will be fine.
