Open to all horses. Distance, 1 mile ; nomination, 1 soy. ; acceptance, 1 soy., with sweep of 1 soy. added, amount of sweep to go to second horse. Nominations to be sent to the Secretary, with qualification, on Thursday, October Ist, 1874. Acceptances receivable up to twelve o'clock noon on day of races. HANDICAP HURDLE RACE, of 20 soys. Open to all horßes. Distance, one mile and and a half, over six flights of hurdles 3ft. 6in. high. Nomination, 1 soy. ; acceptance, 1 soy. Nominations and acceptances same time as Flying Handicap. HACK SELLING RACE, of 10 soys. For all untrained horses. Distance, 1 mile ; entrance, 15s. No weight under 9st. Winner to be sold for £15 ; any surplus to go to the race fund. CONSOLATION HANDICAP, of 10 soys. For all beaten horses. Distancfe, 1 mile ; entrance, 15s. Three horses to start, or no race. RULES. 1. Tha rules of the Tuapeka Jockey Club will be strictly adhered to. 2. No person allowed to enter a horse unless a subscriber of one guinea to the funds. 3. Jockey costume insisted on. 4.
