Clydesdale Entire Horses. mO^TRAVEL THIS SEASON ■*■ IN THE MOUNT BENGER DISTRICT, The Clydesdale Entire YOUNG WELLINGTON. Young Wellington is a bright dapple bay, rising three years old ; stands sixteen hands high, and is possessed of great bone and fine symmetry. Yottng Wellington is by Sir William Wallace, the celebrated horse that achieved such marked success at the stud on the Taieri Plain. Sir William Wallace was got by Garabaldi, out of Brisk, bred by W. Anderson, Esq., Barniel, Kivkmichael, Ayrshire. Garabaldi's sire was bred by Peter Anderson, Esq., Gillespie, Glenluce, Ayrshire, and gained first prize at the Carrick Society's Show as a year old, and first prize four times in succession at the Ayr County Show, besides a number oE first prizes at local shows. Brisk, Sir William Wallace's dam, bred by W. Anderson, Esq., Barniel, Kirkmichael, Ayrshire, gained first prize at Ayr County Show, and nine first prizes at local shows. Sir William Wallace gained first prize as a foal at Maybole ; also, a? a yearling, gained the first prize at Dalrymple, Kirkmichael, Maybole, Glasgow, and second at Ayr. He gained first ptize as a two-year-old at Ayr County Show and at Glasgow ; also, the second prize at the Highland Society's Show held in Edinburgh, July, 1869. Sir William Wallace, imported by Mr. Thomas Kettle direct from the breeder, W. Anderson, Esq., Barneil, Kirkmichael, Ayrshire, was shown at the Taie?i Show in December, 1869, when only three days landed, and gained second prize against horses of all ages. Yottng Wellington's dam is a prize mare belonging to Mr. Cullen, of the Taieri. She has gaiued three first prizes at the Annualshow held at the Taieri. Her dam was half sister to Blackleg, said to be the best horse that ever crossed the line. A splendid grass paddock is provided for mares from a distance, and all caie taken, but no responsibility. TO STAND THIS SEASON AT THE BEAUMONT FARM The celebrated Imported Pure Clydesdale Entire Horse IVANHOE. Ivanhoe is a dark bay, standing over 17 hands high, bred by the Duke of Hamilton, and imported diiect from Scotland by the IS r ew Zealand Laud Company. His sire, Sir Walter Scott, gained the first prize at the Highland Agrfcultural Society's Show at Dumfries in 1860, the first prize in Glasgow in 1881, and at the Royal Agricultural Show, open to all Britain, held at BaUerseain 18G2, he also took first honors. His dam, Maggy, gaiued the first prize as a three-year old at the Highland Society's Show in ISG2, and at the same show in the same year gained the . second prize in the class of all-ci^d mares, apd tie first prize as the best bred mar© at the game shoyr in 1805. Ivanhoe has an excellent temper and magnificent action. He has shown himself a sure stock-getter, nearly all the mares served last season having proved in foal. Teejis j— £lo 10a. ; Groomage, ss. Also, The Tasmanian bred Pare Clydesdale Entire SIR COUJ\ T . Sir Colin is a rich roan, 17 hands high, and of unrivalled bone and action. Sib Colin is by the celebrated Sir Colin Campbell, imported direct to Tasmania Sir Colin Campbell is by Glenelg, bred by Mr. Tait, Banffshire, the winner of many prizes, and the sire of 140 prize colts and fillies. Grand&irc, Lefty, who was never beaten, and took £244 in prizes. Dam, a pure Clydesdale mare bred by the Earl of Seafield, out of his favorite mare Betsy, winner of numerous prizes. Sir Colin's drim took first honors at Stralh Bogie, and also at the Duke of Richmond's show, in the latter case with foal at foot, competing against all mares with or without fo.als, and was afterwards imported to Tasmania. Royal Chabter is a rich mottled bay, standing over sixteen hands high, rising 4 years old, of great bone and substance, and most docile temper ; bred by the well-known breeder Robert Chartres, Esq., by the famous Clydesdale entire Emperor, the property of the late Mr. Niinmo. Royal Chaeteii's dam was the celebrated imported mare Polly, winner of the first prize at the Taieri show iv 1572. Terms:— £4 4s.; Groomage, ss. Also, the Celebrated Clydesdale Entire, THUMPER, whose Pedigree Mill- appear in a future issue. Terms :— £4 45. ; Grcomage, ss. ,Well grassed and watered Paddocks -provided without responsibility.
