- Messrs. T, and A. Maclean report for the week ending 13th August a 9 follows: — • Fat Cattle. — The 'market was very largely supplied on Wednesday, over 20D head being varied, and as the supply last week was very inferior the trade had Tory few ( on, -hand, consequently nearly every lot was disposed of at prices fully equal to last weeks rates. Our sales consisted of 30 head on account of Messrs. Nickbl, Wallace, Clark, and others," which' realised from £8 to £12 for bullocks, and from £7 to £10 2s" 5d for cows. We qxiofe really prime beef 27s Gd to 32s 61 j>er 1001 b .; medium and inferior, 20s to 255. Fat Sheep. — About 1,000 of all sorts -were penned, the greater proportion of which were prime quality cross-bred*, and realised full rates, viz. for cross-breds, from 22s to 23s each ; second quality do., 10s to 14s ; merinos, 6s to 10s. Our sales .consisted of 295 cross-breds afc above quotations. We hare also delivered during the week 500 prime quality at market rates. We quote prime quality cross-bred mutton 4d per lb ; do. merino, 3d to 3^d. Fat Calves.; — Only a few inferior to medium quality were forward, which realised from 15s to 30s each, according to quality. Store Cattle. — We have a few inquiries for this* description of stock, deliverable next month, -vrhen w? anticipate a good demand for w,elkbred and" grown ca.ttle, which we quote at—For bullocks; from £3 10s to £4 10s; cows, from'i£2' 10s to £3 10s; mixed herds, 40s to 50s, according to condition and . breeding.' Store Sheep. — Very few lots of this class of sheep, are now .changing hands. We have, i inquires for young sheep of various sorts', with few offering. For the week i^e .have no transactions of any^note to report. 'We quote half-bred ewes, in Jamb, 13s to 165. ; wethers, lQs to 12s ; lamb's 7s to 8s ; merino wethers, 6a 6jl to, 7s ; full-mouthed ew,es, 5s 6dto 6s. ( . . Stud ,Sheep. — We beg to. caH particular attention of flock ownere arid others to our sale o£~ pure Lincoln rama, bred by J. K. Kirkham, Esq», of Lincolnshire, England, which have been lauded, ex Sam Mendel, and will be sold at our stores. Manse-street,-on Saturday first x the 15th t inst,- at 1 2 ,o'clock. ' Wool and Sheepskins.— We will hold our next sale in the beginning of the week, when we will offer a few 'odd lota of wool and a large number of heavy woolled sheepskins. Hides, 'etc., are in better demand, and may be quoted at from.4d to 4£d per lb.^ forprime salted . We will offer at oar next sale a large- parcel of- prime heavy weights, and several lots, of prime .quality tallow. Grain. — The market for the week has been very quiet, -and few- lots have changed hands. Quotations remain unaltered, viz : Brim© samples wheaV 4s 6d to 4s 9d ; medium and inferior, 4s to 4a 3d }, milling samples oats; 4s 3d to 4s 6d ;> good feed, 4s to 4s 3d. We have placed seVeraHots at quotations during the week ; also several lota' of potatoes, at from £6 10s to £Q 16s 6d per ton.
