Capstick, Duthie and Co. report having gold at their rooms, Tokomairiro, on Monday, 10th August, 1874 :— Strawberry Bank Farm, 536 a2r 12p was knocked down to Allan Boyd, Esij at L 4 9s per acre. Section 93, Mr. M 'GuTb subdivision of Milton, containing one rood, together with two shops and dwellinghouse, was withdrawn by vendor at LIOOO, the highest bid having been L7OO. 2S feet fronting the Main South Road, with shop known as the Old Post Office, was knocked down to Mr. James Wyber, for the sum of L3SS. Section 1, Geo. E. Brown's subdivision of Milton, containing one rood was bid up to L 145 ; withdrawn by vendor at L2OO. Section 3, block 1., Mr. Peter M'Gills subdivision of Milton, was withdrawn by vendor at £90. At our wool and sheepskin- sales on Saturday—station skins fetched 3s 4d ; pelts, Is 3d to Is 9d each ; small hides 13s to 15s each. Wool (merino in grease) very dirty fern, at 9J. per lb.
