WARDEN'S COURT, LAWRENCE.

(Before E. H. Carew, Esq., Warden.) Wednesday, 29th July. John Anderson and Another v. Ah Loo. — Withdrawn. The application of the Otago Gold Mining Company (Registered) for a machine-site was refused, the Warden having visited the ground, and being of opinion that the site applied for would, if granted, obstruct the workings of several claims. Mr. M'Coy for the Perseverance Company, one of the objectors. John Hall and Robert Grieve applied for a taihwee under a portion of the claim of "the Otago Gold Mining Company (Registered) to which the Company objected. His Worship had seen the ground, and after some discussion, the matter was again adjourned to give the applicants and the objectors an opportunity of coining to some arrangement. John Fitzgerald applied for an agricultural lease of sections 88 and 89, block 1., Tuapeka East. This land had been, some years before, refused to the applicant, on the ground that it was auriferous. Adjourned to view the ground. John Alexander Duthie applied by Mr. - M'Coy for an agricultural lease of section 34 and part of 35, block 1., Waitahuna West. This application was opposed by a committee of miners at Tuapeka Mouth, on the ground that the land was auriferous. Adjourned to view the ground - John M. Smith applied for an agricultural lease of sections 131 3 2, 3, 4, 5, 30, and 31, block 1., Waitahuna. This wat objected to by the sani" pewons as in the last application, and 'dealt with in the sani* 1 way. David Herd applied for an agricultural lease of section 51, block X., Tuapeka East. This was opposed by Mooney and others, on the ground that the site was reserved for the reservoir ; also objected to by Malone. The matter waß adjourned that the land might be viewed, to see whether a grant could be made excluding area for reservoir. The application of Duncan Campbell for an agricultural lease of sections 9 and 10, block 1., Waitahuna West was adjourned to view tl>e laud. . Charles Armstrong applied for an agricultural lease of section 43, block X., Tuapeka JSast. Thia land had* been applied for by Gilbert Ealston, and his Worship directed that the applicant should receive notice to attend the nexfc Court day. H. T. Rassmussen aoplied by Mr. G. B. King for an. agricultural lease of section 5, block X., Tuapeka Eas*;. Mr. Gooday appeared for an objector, Ah Chow, who alleged that the ground was auriferous. The applicant was examined by Mr. Gooday at some length. The application was ajourned for an inspection of the land,. Ah Loo and others applied for an extended claim at Tuapeka Mouth. Mr. Copland for the applicants ; Mr. M'Coy, who- appeared for the objectors, -withdraw his opposition. Granted. Ah Land applied through Mr. Copland fo? J a residence area on the Wetherstones road. Granted ; with frontage of 66ft, to Wether.i
