{From our ovm Correspondent. ,-*• DtJNEDiH,'June 23. The Superintendent and Mr. Reid will probably leave town on Friday to tnrn the first sod of the Waireka Valley light light line of railway. The tender of John Campbell to supply 100 high aided railway waggons has been accepted. The contract price is £2462 10s. In the Bankruptcy Court to-day before Judge Chapman the certificate of W. Goodison was suspended for twelve months. Thomas Logan, quartz reefer, was fined by the R.M. to-day 40s. for assaulting William Hill. A telegram just received from two Directors of the Shotover Terrace Coy., states that having visited the mine they conclude it is not properly worked at present. A proposal by Grace and party to thoroughly prospect the deep ground was approved of by the directors.
