Lord Clyde's dam, a purebred Clydesdale mare by Old Watty ; Young Watty out of Violet, by Clyde; Violet's dam by Improver ; grandam, Diamond. The celebrated mare Highland Mary, out of Violet, is half -sister to Young Watty — declared to be the best Clydesdale mare tbat ever was in Victoria. Young Watty gained second prize at Taieri Show the last two seasons, and first at Tokomairiro, October, 1873. Farmers 5 ' Favorite is by Prince Charlie, imported to Victoria by Messrs.
