Pedigree. — Xoung "Watty by Lord ClydeLord Clyde was bred by Mr. Brown, Dunsyremains, by Biggar ; be gained second premium as a three-year- old at Dumfries in 1860 ; also, a ;§4O prize at Newton Stewart in 1862, when 14 horses competed ; East Cumberland Society's prize at Carlisle in 1863, from twelve competitors : sire, Young Blaze 5 grandsire, John Anderson My Joe. Lord Clyde's dam, a purebred Clydesdale mare by Old Watty ; Young Watty out of Violet, by Clyde; Violet's dam by Improver ; grandam, Diamond. The celebrated mare Highland Mary, out of Violet, is half -sister to Young Watty — declared to be the best Clydesdale mare tbat ever was in Victoria. Young Watty gained second prize at Taieri Show the last two seasons, and first at Tokomairiro, October, 1873. Farmers 5 ' Favorite is by Prince Charlie, imported to Victoria by Messrs.
